Start planning!!

Ok, so I am beginning to think about Door County, and will need to know who is coming and when so we can do the chart. If you know when you are coming, either make a comment here or send me an email. I am really getting excited. I'm not sure what to expect when I see where the Pioneer store was, but curiosity is getting the best of me to actually see it. And of course it will be great to just be together. I feel like it has been a long time since we have all been together.
Today is going to be a hot one, however I work in an office that is very cold (right now the thermostat says 68) so I am in long pants and a sweater. I hate having to deal with air conditioning that is too cold, but no one seems to be able to regulate it. The first floor of the building is warm, and people have fans running! Not the 2nd floor, the people are freezing! In the office next door, I see a young man and he is always wearing a fleece jacket!! And it is 98 degrees outside! Anyway, I hope everyone is finding a way to keep cool in the heat.

Speaking of uploading pictures...Check out the real kids!!

These were from May I believe: Ryan's winning goal: (please notice that the goalie is not between the ball and the goal. The ball has just been kicked by Ryan and will land in the goal. Ryan ended up on his buttocks. )

This is beautiful Maggie Rose before her hair cut, without her glasses, and with a beautiful butterfly on her cheek (touched up by brother Ryan with markers after it got smearing over night.)

Now that is a cute sister! We all are cute! Hooray!

Here you go, Deb, this is taken from Walden Pond, in Massachusetts, when we went skating. One of the most fun days of my life. It was magical. You were so sweet, as well. Was feeling a bit guilty making fun of you when you aren't even in town. Love You, Deebs!

Deboe deserves better

I know that Deboe tried for a long time to get her picture to work. Here is the Deboe we know and love . Hers, being the first born, of course is a studio shot, where as mine (the fifth born) had to be cropped out of the Christmas picture.

I'm pretty proud of us Simon Sisters as well, but we couldn't do it without our Lindsay!! Now, when Debbie get's back from her vacation...she'll have a lot of reading to catch up on!!

Love you all!!

Totally awesome

My turn. You can see that I developed my cheeks over time, whereas my mom had big pinchable cheekies from her first moment on this earth.

I just want to say that I am super proud of you bloggers. I was talking yesterday with one of the voice teachers at the school, who seems like she could be an aunt of mine and whom I like a lot, and she was saying that it's one of her summer goals to get better at computers. She was explaining how she's just bad at it; she didn't even know how to send an email with an attachment or download antivirus software. It's something most people learn just by doing, I think. I remember talking to my mom once and her saying that she couldn't believe that Jesse (before college even) just knew how to do certain things on the computer that she didn't understand. "How do you know how to do that?" she asked. Well, you figure it out and then you know how. I'm really proud of you all for figuring out the pictures and blogging and everything. It's just one of those things; every time you try to do something new, you learn a little more, and eventually it feels like you're doing it naturally. Way to go, Simon sisters!

Deboe????

OK, so now where is Deboe? She should be blogging! Is there an issue with MAC users? I'm not very knowledgable about that but somehow we need to get her on board. She is not looking so well...

"You Are A New Day!"

Thank you, thank you, thank you Betsy and Chrissie! You would not believe how close I was! When I copied the URL, I included the quotation marks, and it wouldn't work! HOURS wasted yesterday that I will never have back...Oh,well, I probably would have frittered them away anyhow! Anyway, Betsy, when I said "How could we be any cuter?" in response to Chrissie yesterday, I meant the collective, Simon family children, including your adorable self. You see, I remember when both of your pictures were taken, and I experienced both of your adorable ways, but you were not alive to witness my glory days! Any bloggers needing help uploading pictures for their profile see me. (Or Chrissie, or Betsy) By the way, we were pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself. Any other cute baby pictures out there? We’ll see if they are any cuter, as if it were possible!

Add a picture??

Dearest Joannie Baloannie, I just followed these instructions, but that was a while ago...I don't know if I could do it again. If you have trouble, give me a call and I could come over and help!! With all your help with the kids this summer, I owe you!!

OK, my turn...

Well, how do I look? I remember when this was taken, Dad took it, it was Christmas time, and you can't see it but the knees on my white tights are absolutely filthy. Why do I remember that kind of stuff????

Are you there?? Are you listening???

Oh Where oh Where can my family be??
Oh where, oh where have they gone??
With their busy lives and there very full days,
This blogging thing must just be a phase!!

"There's Gonna Be a Heartache Tonight"

Talk amongst ourselves
Don and I went to see the NML show last night, and guess who it was? Glen Frey, from the Eagles and his band. It was pretty cool, and he was great. Yep, it all came back to me the minute the intro started. Dee deedle dee, dum, dee dum dum dee dee dee..."It's another tequila sunrise starin' slowly cross the sky, said goodbye", and "Take it easy, take it ea-easy, Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy",and "Somebody's gonna come undone, before the night is through"and of course the best encore, "Desperado, you'd better come to your senses, you've been out ridin fences for so long, now." It was awesome, but also makes you think about the fact that there was not ONE happy song in the whole set, just melancholyness. Therefore it was not as rollicking as,say, Steely Dan's "Never Going Back to My Old School" or Michael McDonald's "Minute by Minute", both of which rocked the house at Summerfest in June. Of course you might not get as much rocking from about 20,000 insurance agents as you would from some partying, middle aged hippies at Summerfest(plus many of their children, mine included) Anyway for a free night, Don and I had a great time, and sang along on almost every song. How many of you know these songs?
We actually thought about Pat, and knew that he would have THOROUGHLY enjoyed every minute of the concert. Glenn Frey and Don Henley founded the Eagles, and although Henley is more well known, it's Glenn's voice on all the big opening lines! Happy birthday Julia, way down in North Carolina! I love you! I interviewed 2 candidates for teacher position today, one more to go. The problem is, that they both were so great, I don't know which one I like best! Such a problem I can live with. I sound like Tevye, May God strike me with riches, and may I never recover!(something like that) Okay, I've rambled long enough. I'd better publish this before I reread it and cancel the whole thing. Bye all!

The lone blogger

While Betsy's doing a great job of keeping this blog afloat, we need to jump in I think. If some of you (ie Meghan) are still having problems with making an account, check out these tips from Blogger:

There were problems with my invitation. What do I do?

If you receive error messages when trying to accept an invitation to a blog, please try the following suggestions:

* Get a new invitation. A Blogger invitation link will only work once, so if it has already been clicked on, you will need to get a new invitation from the administrator of the blog.
* Restart your browser. Log out of Blogger, then close all your browser windows. Open a new one and try the invitation again.
* Copy and paste the link, instead of clicking it. Many web-based email services (e.g. Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc.) cause problems with the way they modify links to display them on their own sites. If this is the case, you'll need to copy and paste the link into its own browser window in order to use it.
* Have the invitation sent to a different address. You can accept an invitation from any account, or create a new account with any email address, regardless of which address was used to send the invitation. So if one address doesn't work, try another one.

Let me know if you need another invite!

Had a good day!!

Hello and welcome to Betsy the Bitch's Fetishes (please see previous blogs P.S.)
I had a good day. Got a lot done. The trick...don't sit down. Once I sit down, it's hard to get up. Or even worse...if I lay down (or lie down- never did get the difference in this...don't even try...You lay objects down but you lie down right???) the force of gravity becomes too overpowering and the rest of the day is shot!!

Still enjoying my book. Why did it take me so long to find a good book. They are so much fun!!

Whatever you do...DO NOT BLOG!! I don't want to hear what's happening in your life!! In fact...I dare you to blog!!!

I really like to stop in the middle of a sentence and add 3 dots...to illustrate the pause if I was talking. (I know, are there really pauses when I'm talking???) Does it drive you crazy??? or do you like it??? Spell check doesn't like it...but I don't like spell check anymore (please see previous blogs P.S.) Now I'm noticing that I like to put 3 question marks after good questions. Wow, I'm learning a lot today.

Good night!!

Shall we call this Betsy's Blog

If I am to be the only Blogger, so be it...from now on refer to this blog as betsy's brainless bounty of beautiful begets of blubber.

Today I was lazy. I got some things done, but not nearly what I should have gotten done. (actually I think it would be a good idea to copy that line and repeat it every day...because that is what I so often feel like at the end of the day...)

Tomorrow I am going to work after being gone for a week and skipping church, and the picnic, on Sunday. Why is so hard for me to transition back to life after a vacation or time away? I just want to stay on vacation. Why can't we get paid for being on vacation? I know, you full timers are...but we part timers are without pay. Tomorrow will be fine... I'm just lamenting the loss of the freedom to just read a book without guilt...Well I'm into a good book...and now I'm home and looking at all the things I should be doing instead of reading my book.

Oh well, hope your life is filled with much joy and good books!!

Peace and Love,
Betsy

O.K. I just did a spell check and it came up "Betsy's - Replace with Bitch's" with the next option being "Fetishes" - What's up with Spell Check???

Why aren't we writing??

So I'm confused. Lindsay has to lose her blog and we all stop blogging. What's up with that?? I am writing to let you all know that self tanners do not make your skin less likely to burn. They give you a sense that your skin can handle a little sun...but it can't. Not if it's my skin anyway. My back is red, hot and sore. (oh, no - someone's going to google those words and then be disappointed in my blog. NOT GOOD)

We had a great time at Green Lake and the Musicians conference. I am looking forward to Door County, where I can actually relax and perhaps go to the beach. (of course I will wear sun screen!!!)

What is new in your world???
