I hate to be redundant, but................................... There she is, isn't she the sweetest thing? I see Maggie, I see Bradley, me of course, Carolyn, and Lindsay. Something about those cheekbones that people pay mucho dinero to recreate! What a happy memory.(although I have no idea what memory it is!!) I know.. it was that time you and Linda were telling me about the searchlight monster that was after me!!!!!! (I still think you look cute.)
4th of July, 1957ish? We were staying at Grampa and Grandma Potton's. Linda marched in the parade with girl scouts? We were walking home, and there was a search light in the sky, which I had never seen before(the kind that they use when a new store opens) Well, Linda had the bright idea (with someone else) to tell me that it was a monster looking for children to eat. Then they ran away real fast and left me screaming in fright. It probably lasted all of 2 minutes. But I remember being really frightened. Debbie was really roped into it. She never would have done it to me without a prompt from an older cousin, now would ya, Deebs?
Oh I remember that night of HORROR! But my main memory was that we were BOTH terrified. I knew in my head that their story couldn't be true, but JEFF and LINDA WERE SO SERIOUS! I do not remember abandoning Joannie, but I do remember trying to seem brave by laughing at Joannie being scared. . .trying to act like those two meanies, while being scared myself. (there was also another friend of Jeff's - NOT sweet Mark Sijon) who was also trying to convince us.
I also think that it was on that visit that I bit Linda's little finger. . . . really really hard. And I wasn't the least bit sorry. Great huh? But she was so mean. Joannie, wasn't it that night? Maybe not.
As to Chrissie's request: What? Why do you think there's a story?
(I was waking up in ISLA with swimmer's hair and someone pointed a camera at me).
God I hate that picture.
CAROLYN AND DAN LEAVE FOR JAMAICA TONIGHT!
Got to get a cup of coffee. . .
I think I still have some of those girlscout cookies left. . . hmmmm

I hate to be redundant but...
when, where, why. Some of us weren't "in the picture", so to speak.

Great story Joannie, but I really was asking about the "striking" picture of Debbie!

Well, it's better than the osama look???!!!!
I'm a little concerned about her caffeine intake. Perhaps we should organize an intervention!!
