Joannie called last night from Mississippi. It was a beautiful day, sunny and upper 70's. The evening was clear with lots of stars and in the 60's; she said it reminded her of Door County in the summer. She was calling on her cell phone from a cow pasture overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. She's proud of all of the work they've gotten done, painting, drywalling, cleaning out yards, etc. The night dancing in the bar to a local heavy metal band and the Easter Sunday in New Orleans collecting beads were just quick breaks in an arduous week, I'm sure. Did I mention that she's sleeping in a tent which is sometimes freezing (her tent mate now has a bad cold) and sometimes flooded (they got 4 inches of rain one day)? We're looking forward to getting her back tomorrow.
