So there was an ad for a company that sends out gift baskets on TV this morning, and this was their line: "Whoever said it was more blessed to give than receive never got a basket from Past Bask*t!" Man, what was Jesus thinking?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was born too soon to understand the real meaning of life!
Well, we are now $1,100 more in debt, but our van is 100% more drivable. New swaybar in front wheel, new seals to prevent leaking oil, new brakes, and new oil and filter. Sounds like $1,100 worth to me, how bout you? But it works, and I now will be comfortable driving up to LU next weekend.
Today is my last afternoon class with my little Chinese boy, Young Young, who has become quite Americanized in a few short months. He brought the MESSIEST cupcakes yesterday, and when the kids (at my prompting) said "thank you Young Young for the cupcakes", he stood up, spanned his pointer finger across the 2 tables, and said,"You all my friends!" Then when someone else said,"These are the best cupcakes," he replied, shaking his pointer finger,"EVER!" It's been hard work, but he is so darn lovable. They are moving to New Berlin, so he won't be coming back next year. I have my last morning class tomorrow, then meeting, then picnic on Friday, then cleanup all next week, and then I will be done! Hurray!
Okay, TTFN !
Love, Joannie
